- Analyze American and Japanese media articles how they report a same news/event/issue and discuss the reasons why they report the way they did
- Determine any cultural based expressions or the ways they report the same news/event/issue

- Discuss the reasons of differences in media articles after analyzing a few media sources how they report a same news/event/issue in Japan and in the U.S.
- Demonstrate understanding of intercultural communication by communicating with students whose cultural background is different from theirs as well as create a summary of discussion
