Your introductions – join our public group on Flipgrid

We are using Flipgrid, a video discussion board system, to introduce ourselves to one another.  Flipgrid is free for educators and can be used independently of an LMS such as Canvas or Blackboard.  It is a free tool that can be safely used in your own exchanges.

WHAT TO DO:

In 90 seconds or less:

  1. Tell us in a few words who you are and where you come from. What would you like to learn in this course?
  2. Show us something that will help us remember you (e.g., something in your office or home that is special to you or typical of your culture).
  3. What are you most looking forward to in this course? What are you most concerned about? What is the subject area that you are interested in for your virtual exchange?
  4. When you are finished, find 2 other videos on the grid and record  replies to them.

To record a video, participants will verify their email using Microsoft or Google. You can record on your phone (via a mobile Flipgrid application) or your computer, just make sure that you have audio!

To add you recording simply press a green plus. Your recording will be available only after you have published it.
